- Hair removal treatment at medical institutions has become common practice. It is a medical procedure that can only be performed by a doctor, or a nurse under the supervision of a doctor.
- We use the diode laser made by Lumenis, which is safe and highly effective for hair removal. It has been approved by the FDA, and its irradiation has been verified and reported by academic societies, making it a safe and effective treatment.
- Because of the cooling device on the tip, the pain during treatment is mild. There will be mild redness in the treated area which will subside in a few hours.

Hair Removal Method
The spot size is 33 x 22mm, which is a large aperture, and the area per irradiation is much larger too. However, the treatment time has been significantly reduced to 1/3 of that of conventional medical laser hair removal devices. Also, the application of cooling gel is no longer necessary.

Diode lasers are the most durable and efficient laser. In laser hair removal, the hair roots under the skin are destroyed when the laser light is absorbed by melanin, and the hair follicles are also destroyed, thereby inhibiting hair regrowth.
When irradiating, the ideal laser should minimize damage to the epidermis and only have a thermal effect on the hair roots.
The diode laser used in our clinic has a cooling device attached to the irradiation port, which is pressed directly against the skin so the level of pain and possibility of skin burns are much lower than with the Alexandrite laser which was used in the past.

How is our medical treatment different from treatment at an aesthetic salon?
Naturally, medical treatment is prohibited in aesthetic salons.
Laser hair removal, hair removal using light rays, electric needle hair removal, and other medical procedures are all prohibited.
In addition, lasers that are proven to be effective are classified as medical devices, so they can only be used in medical institutions.
You will often see places that offer hair removal with flash lamps or other methods, but these are completely different from laser hair removal.
With regard to these other methods and the quality of the equipment, there is a risk of burns, and in most cases, it takes more than twice as many treatments to achieve the desired results.
In fact, there are many people who are unsatisfied with hair removal at aesthetic salons who have begun medical laser hair removal, instead.

Precautions
Hair cycle
- The hair cycle consists of the anagen phase, catagen phase, and telogen phase. Hair in the telogen phase has little melanin pigment so it does not react to the laser, therefore laser irradiation is performed in accordance with the hair growth cycle. Normally, treatments are performed every 1-2 months.
- Please refrain from plucking or removing any hair before treatment. If the hair is removed, the laser will not react with the hair root.
- Avoid exposure to strong ultraviolet rays after irradiation.
- You can take a shower on the same day after treatment, but please refrain from rubbing your skin with a towel.
- If you have any skin problems before, or after irradiation, please consult your doctor.
- On the day of treatment, please come to the clinic without wearing anything on your skin, e.g., sunscreen or antiperspirant.
- Although rare, hardening and bristling of the hair may occur after laser irradiation. The frequency of occurrence varies depending on the area.
